This six-month intensive class emphasizes natural,
believable acting achieved through the following:
Stanislavski Method:
Learn
and apply the basic tools of the craft of acting, including relaxation, concentration,
imagination, sense memory, and emotional recall.
Meisner Technique: Strengthen your
emotional expression. Learn what it is to feel truthful, and act from
instinct. Understand what it means to
be in the "moment". This technique makes you a
believable actor.
Lewis Technique: Learn breakdown scripts the way
Robert Lewis himself taught (Sandra studied directly with Lewis in NYC,
see bio.
This technique takes the guesswork out of script analysis, and puts you
in command of the script.
Scene Work & Performance:
Apply the newly-learned
techniques to a scene or one-act. Work that scene to performance
level, and if you choose, perform in a LA/MPLS industry performance of
Wide Variety Theatre (WVT). Many actors get representation and
work from their performance in WVT.
This class is open to adults of all ages and skill levels. It
offers an excellent introduction for beginning actors and a challenging
learning opportunity for experienced actors.

- Advanced Meisner-Lewis Scene Study
|

Prerequisite: Method, Meisner, Lewis
Meisner Technique: Continue to break through your
walls and get to the truth. The class will focus on:
stronger instinctual awareness and emotional expression within the
moment, imaginative character work, and staying instinctively true while
in character.
Lewis Technique:
Focus on- breaking
down a scene quickly. Making strong imaginative choices and committing
to them. Concentration in Strengthening your cold reading skills which makes
auditioning a snap.
Scene Study:
Scene work is applied during
both Meisner and Lewis Techniques. Advanced actors are welcome to
perform in either/both LA/MPLS Wide Variety Theatre.

ready for any audition with tools that give you more confidence, thus helping you win the role.
Monologue & the
Audition Class is based in Robert Lewis' Script Analysis. Focus on:
Easily finding the right monologues for you. Do's and don'ts of
auditioning.
Insight to the perfect headshot and resume. Movement and blocking.
Working your monologue(s) to audition level. The class culminates
in an "as if" audition.

- Cold Reading and The Business

This ongoing class is for the business savvy actor. Based in
Robert Lewis' Script Analysis, this class strengthens your cold reading
skills. Emphasis is placed on making strong, imaginative choices
quickly, and interpreting direction/adjustments easily. This class focuses on
keeping a weekly business journal. In a supportive environment,
share your goals; long term and short. Feel empowered as
you reach the goals you have set. This class builds your
confidence and gets you ready for any audition situation.
